Vasavi Housing to offer budget homes in Chennai

Chennai-based Vasavi Housing & Infrastructure is set to launch a new project offering budget apartments in the western suburb. The project, Vasavi Ingai, named after a flower, will come up near Poonamallee and offer 416 apartments in all. The mix of two BHK and three BHK units will range between 600 sq ft to 1,400 sq ft in size.

Launched in partnership with Arth Veda, a subsidiary of DHFL, Ingai is located near the proposed greenfield airport, dry port, Monorail MRTS and satellite township. “The USP of our project is its location and price, with common amenities like clubhouse and swimming pool among others,” said P B Krishna Prasad, the company’s managing director and CEO.

“While new apartment prices at Porur, which has emerged as a fast growing residential hub, have touched the Rs 5,500 – Rs 6,000 per sq ft range in certain cases, our project which is just about 3 km from that region, is at an affordable Rs 3,000 per sq ft,” Prasad added.

Construction will start by the end of this month and the project will be completed in a period of 30 months.
